Youth Learn-to-Kayak & Science Camp

Students will spend the first hour of three classes learning the basics of kayaking and kayak safety with our ACA-trained instructors.  The remaining sessions will be spent exploring the bountiful waters of Billington Sea while investigating the fish, turtles, and many species of birds that call our pond home!  Students will also be introduced to the geological history of the are and challenged to consider the impacts that people have on the pond environment. No prior experience required. We require that all participants be dressed appropriately for class with closed-toe water shoes. *Lead Instructor, David Arruda holds a license to teach science with MA DESE and is a science teacher at Silver Lake Regional School District.



Cost: $105.00 per person includes instruction and gear rental (SUP board, PFD, and Paddle)
Ages: 8-16. Please call to confirm reasonable exceptions
Class Size: 2-10. Groups of 5 or greater will have two instructors.
Prerequisites: No prior SUP experience required. We require that all participants be dressed appropriately for class with closed-toe water shoes.
